Differentiated Services Schemes and Application Feedback

This paper describes the proposed Differentiated Services schemes, makes comparison between proposals, and matches them against the proposed Differentiated Services (DS) byte and the DS architecture proposed by the Differentiated Services Working Group (DSWG). In addition an application feedback is introduced as a new DS service. This method enables applications to prioritize packets within an application flow. Index Terms — AF, DS, DSWG, EF, PHB
